Third time lucky for weather-hit fun day?

by isleofman.com 19th May 2011

WILL it be third time lucky for the Southern Multi-Agency Team's fun day?

Last weekend poor weather forced the event to be cancelled after torrential rain flooded the pitch at Ronaldsway Airport.

The original event which should have been held in October last year was called off for the same reason.

The fun day would have showcased a range of opportunities, hobbies and pastimes that young people can do in the south of the Island.

Karen Davies, chairman of the Southern Multi-Agency Team, said: "The team was bitterly disappointed to have to cancel again as the day was all set to be huge.

"We apologise to anyone who was inconvenienced and hope that they will support us by attending on July 10.

"Here's hoping the event in July will be even bigger and better and that we can interest even more organisations to coming along and encourage the young people of the south to engage in new activities."

The Southern MAT is in the process of contacting everyone that was due to attend last Sunday. Anyone else interested in taking part in the rearranged fun day should contact Karen on 429693.
