SEVEN people have completed a qualification in occupational safety and health as part of the NEBOSH programme.
The NEBOSH (National Examination Board in Occupation Safety and Health) programme covers management of health and safety, controlling workplace hazards and health and safety practical application.
The seven delegates from a cross section of industries all achieved exceptional marks in their final examinations which had a 100 percent pass rate.
The training for the course was delivered by local tutor Stan Yellop the managing director of Safety Management Services (IOM) Limited – a NEBOSH accredited provider and facilitated by the Department of Economic Development.
He said: "Our accredited qualifications are popular amongst employers and individuals wishing to demonstrate that they have a sound understanding of the principles of risk management and health and safety in the workplace."

The successful candidates were: Dawn Bradley, Isle of Man College, Amanda Butler, Southern Amenity Site, Andrew Cowie, Manx Electricity Authority, Stephen Cretney, Isle of Man Fire Service, Robert Greaves, Gas Safe Register, Christopher Martin, Isle of Man Children’s Centre and Patricia Mitchell, Manx National Heritage.
