Campaigners for assisted dying reopen debate

by isleofman.com 18th May 2011

Isle of Man residents are being given another chance to have their say about people's right to die.

The debate will be reopened when Dignity in Dying hosts a meeting at the Manx Legion Club in Douglas, on June 22.

Spokesperson for the organisation Jo Cartright believes the law in the United Kingdom will change eventually, although it's hard to say whether the Isle of Man will lead the way (play audio file):

Next month's meeting follows another one earlier in the year, and a private gathering for members will also be held.
