'Unfair' to blame government for festival failure

The minister for community culture and leisure says he is bitterly disappointed the Manx Telecom Bay Festival has been cancelled.

However, David Cretney insists his department was not in a position to help out financially.

Festival promoters yesterday (Tuesday) claimed government contributed to the failure of the three-day event, but Mr Cretney believes that's unfair (play audio file):

Organisers say everybody who bought a ticket will get a refund by writing to an address on the festival website, bayfestival.im
