Today (Tuesday) is International Day against Homophobia and Transphobia (IDAHO).
The day is being recognised on the Isle of Man by the newly formed local group Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender, or LGBT.
Chairman Lee Clarke, says the Island has come a long way in the last 20 years but the day is still needed, and he is hoping people will support it by displaying a rainbow-coloured banner or piece of clothing (play audio file):
Anybody who takes pictures of rainbow flags or anything else the Isle of Man community does to support IDAHO is asked to send them to
LGBT says police in the Isle of Man have confirmed the rainbow flag is being flown at all the Island's stations.
