QE2 High School head teacher “very proud” of students

STUDENTS at QE2 High School in Peel have been described as “fantastic ambassadors” at the school’s annual Leavers’ Ceremony.

 

Head teacher Sue Moore said that she was “very proud” of the achievements of the students during their final year at QE2.

 

“This year you have demonstrated the difference that you make not just in our community in the Isle of Man, but within the global community. You have been fantastic ambassadors for us all,” she said.

 

The guest of honour, at the ceremony was Debbie Gwinnell, CEO of Big Fish, presented all Year 11 students with their Records of Achievement.

 

Her speech focused on achieving balance in life. She stressed seizing the moment. “The future is important but the most important moment of your life at any time is right now.”

 

Awards for the Student of the Year were presented by Sandra Dimelow of Miracles Ltd, who sponsored the prizes.

Student of the Year Runner-up - Moira Pain

Student of the Year Finalists - Thomas Davenport, Katy Radcliffe and Alice Willoughby

 

Gold Awards – Rebecca Beavis, Rachael Harrop, Jake Nathan, Kyle Shimmin and Zoe Tweedy
