SENIOR government officials travelled to London earlier this week for a meeting with the Lord Mayor of London.
Chief Minister Tony Brown MHK, Treasury Minister Anne Craine MHK and Economic Development Minister Allan Bell MHK were in the UK capital on Tuesday and Wednesday.
While there they had a series of meetings including one with the Lord Mayor of London Michael Bear which focussed on the importance of the Isle of Man's relationship with London.
As part of an ongoing aim to engage positively with counterparts in the UK the travelling delegation also hosted a reception with key city and media contacts in order to ensure a greater understanding of the Island.
They also met with the United Kingdom-Isle of Man (Manx) All-Party Parliamentary Group at the House of Commons.
Chief Minister Tony Brown said: "Our meetings provided an opportunity to emphasise our position as a country that is internationally responsible, enterprising and supportive of the British economy.
"We were able to deliver a strong message and raise awareness of the Island as a core asset to the City of London and wider global economy."
Minister Craine added: "It is ever more important that the Isle of Man maintains a high profile, both in the UK and London.
"The Island is a valuable asset to the City of London and events and meetings of this nature are an effective way to highlight this. They also offer us an opportunity to strengthen relationships with key figures in the city."
Economic Minister Allan Bell said the reception was an "ideal opportunity" to draw attention to the recent appointment of Michael Charlton as the Island's director of international development who will be responsible for driving UK and international business to the Island.
