TWO online travel bloggers have been raising awareness of holidaying on the Isle of Man.
Zoe Dawes from www.thequirkytraveller.com and Andrew White from www.walksaroundbritain.com visited the Island as part of a visit organised by Isle of Man Tourism and Manx2.com.
Zoe chose to visit the Island, a favourite destination from her childhood, after winning Travel Titbits' Britain's Best Travel Blogger competition.
She flew to the Island from Blackpool and tweeted: "I flew over in a Manx2 German Dornier 228 – flying like it used to be! The stewardess was also co-pilot. 25 mins from Blackpool!"
Both Zoe and Andrew kept followers up-to-date with their time in the Island by tweeting updates and writing about their sight-seeing, activities and eating out experiences.
One of the highlights for Zoe was visiting Cregneash. She tweeted: "One of the most charming places I've visited on the Isle of Man is the old village of Cregneash with a fab view of Calf."
Andrew even tweeted isleofman.com reporter Tessa Hawley with a picture of the Calf of Man that he had taken while out walking. He spent two days in the Island after flying in from Leeds Bradford and said it was a shame he couldn't have stayed longer.
Manx2.com chairman Noel Hayes said: "We hope both Zoe and Andrew thoroughly enjoyed their visit to the Isle of Man. Both have been making regular blog updates online and it sounds as though they've enjoyed their time here.
"Social media is both a useful and far reaching means of communication and we hope that followers of both Zoe and Andrew are encouraged to come and see the Isle of Man for themselves."
