HMS Ramsey calls in at Peel

The Captain of HMS Ramsey has spoken of his pride at bringing his ship to the Isle of Man.

Alex Bush is heading up a 36-strong crew now on its way to the Middle East for a four-year tour of duty.

Before setting sail the vessel, one of the most advanced mine hunters in the world, called in to Peel to say goodbye to its affiliates from Ramsey, the Steam Packet, the Ramsey Charitable Trust and the Ramsey branch of the RNLI.

Lieutenant Commander Bush says it was an honour to bring the ship to the Island:
