Olympic snowboarder Zoe launches deals website

by isleofman.com 12th May 2011

OLYMPIC snowboarder Zoe Gillings has started a new venture offering local residents the chance to enjoy discounts through the power of group buying.

Zoe has teamed up with a number of local businesses for IsleofDeals.com and is hoping the business will fund her Olympic winter programme following UK Sport's decision to cancel her funding.

This week's deal is a one month membership at the Palace Health Club for £19.50 instead of £39

Zoe explained: "Health club membership is exactly the kind of activity that lends itself to the principle behind IsleofDeals.com.

"We are looking for fun activities for people to do around the Island – such as eating out in restaurants, shopping, spas and salons and outdoor pursuits. We soon hope to be in a position where we can unveil a different offer every day."

Naomi Finch, sales manager for the Sefton Group, said: "We are delighted to be working with Zoe and supporting her new business venture.

"Given the nature of the kind of deals the website is offering we're hopeful that together we can identify other areas of the Sefton Group where similar great deals can be offered.

"IsleofDeals.com has generated some fantastic buzz since its launch, both within the traditional media and on social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter. It's a new concept for the Island and people seem really keen to discover more about it and what the next offers will be."

IsleofDeals.com utilises the power of group buying – with every deal having to be purchased a certain number of times before it comes active. For more information visit www.isleofdeals.com.
