Visit by UK fishery protection vessel

HMS Tyne is visiting the Isle of Man today (Thursday).

The offshore patrol vessel is berthed at the Victoria Pier and will be hosting tours during her stay.

She is the first of the River Class Offshore Patrol Vessels (OPVs) built for fishery protection around the British Isles, and is the sixth ship in the Royal Navy to bear the name.

HMS Tyne was built in Southampton and is based at HM Naval Base in Portsmouth.
