Look out for bananas on Fruity Friday

by isleofman.com 12th May 2011

LOOK out for inflatable bananas around the Isle of Man tomorrow.

The Children's Centre is holding a Fruity Friday competition to raise awareness of the importance of eating more fruit.

Fruity Friday is an annual awareness day devised by the World Cancer Research Fund and is designed to promote the health benefits of eating more fruit.

Fruit contains a wide range of vitamins, minerals and fibre that are beneficial to your health by protecting cells in the body from damage that can lead to cancer.

Anyone who spots an inflatable banana and enters the prize draw could win a basket of fresh fruit from Marks and Spencer.

All you have to do is text the name of the location to 07624 418971 to be entered into the draw.

More details can be found on The Children's Centre's Facebook page which can be accessed by visiting www.thechildrenscentre.org.im.
