New life for part of old Noble's site

The Isle of Man's Central Community Health Centre has been officially opened.

It occupies a large part of the old Noble's Hospital site, in Westmoreland Road, Douglas and offers a wide range of services.

They range from podiatry, breast screening and prosthetics to physiotherapy, community mental health and speech and language therapy.

The ceremony was performed by Health Minister David Anderson and Social Care Minister Martyn Quayle, whose departments share the facility.

Mr Anderson says it's the fruition of a real team-effort:
