Willie joins 'select few' to receive RAA award

An ex-serviceman from Douglas says he is honoured to have been chosen for a prestigious award.

Willie Kneale will pick up a Gold Medal for his services to the Royal Artillery Association next week.

The presentation will be at the organisation's annual assembly in Blackpool, and 36 members from the Isle of Man will be attending.

Mr Kneale, who has been the local branch secretary for the last 17 years, says only a select few have been given the award:
