by isleofman.com 11th May 2011

THE Comedy Club line up for May 26 has been announced.

The show, for over 18s, takes place at the Promenade Suite at the Villa Marina, Douglas.

The host comedian is Jonathan Elston who has been described as a "young comic with incredible talent and natural warmth" by The Guardian newspaper.

The opening comedian is Ryan McDonnell, from Belfast, who is building up a reputation for himself on the UK comedy circuit.

Ryan interjects a sharp wit and Irish charm in his observation of everyday life. His humour is sometimes bizarre and often dark.

The headliner is Mike Milligan who has been described as having one of the quickest comedy brains on the circuit.

He has written and performed on radio and TV for Spender, Byker Grove, Catherine Cookson dramas, Justice for Gemma (Granada), The Ross King Show (BBC), Afternoon Shift and Weekending (Radio 4), The Paddy Kielty Show, Danny's Dares (C4), Running Jokes (Yorkshire TV) and It's Funny Up North (ITV3).

He provided the voiceover for Viz comic's Sid the Sexist video, as well as performing his character live in concert at Newcastle City Hall. Mike is also resident at Newcastle's Hyena Comedy Club.

Tickets are £15 (£12.50 for Comedy Club members) and doors open at 7.30pm for an 8.30pm start.
