Cash shortage hits PE lessons

Pupils at a Douglas primary school are having PE lessons at the National Sports Centre again, after the service was temporarily withdrawn.

The House of Keys heard Murray's Road couldn't afford to transport youngsters to the venue, or hire the hall there.

Minister for Education Eddie Teare said using facilities at other schools in Douglas proved to be impractical, but a solution was found, after talks with his department:
