A former Isle of Man woman was murdered by her pilot husband after their divorce descended into acrimony, Reading Crown Court heard today (Tuesday).
The body of guesthouse owner Joanna Brown, who spent much of her childhood in Laxey, was found in November near her home in Ascot.
According to the prosecution, Robert Brown murdered his ex-wife and took her to Windsor Great Park, where he buried her in a grave with the intention her body would not be found.
Jurors heard he felt he had been 'stitched up' by the contract he had signed when the couple married.
The 47-year-old denies murder and obstructing a coroner from holding an inquest.
As the trial continues, Joanna Brown's family, based in the north of the Island, are asking for privacy.
