AN exhibition is running at St German's Cathedral in Peel this month which tells the story of the Island's crosses evolving from the Celtic tradition.
Crosses of Mann is open daily from 9am to 6pm and will be on display until the end of May.
Accompanying each of the crosses is a copy of a page from the seminal work by Archibald Knox known as The Deer's Cry.
Extracts have been chosen which aim to echo the crosses they stand alongside.
In addition to the crosses there are silk hangings which evoke the great period of Celtic saints.
There is also an icon in front of the altar of German, patron saint of the Cathedral and in the sanctuary are silk vestments that draw on the Island's rich Celtic heritage.
In an interactive section of the exhibition people can write their name in Oghams and Runes, make a St Brigit Cross using reeds, decorate a Celtic cross and take part in cross rubbing.
