OLYMPIC silver medallists Roger Black and Steve Backley will be giving a motivational talk at the Gaiety Theatre, Douglas, next Monday (May 16).
The free event is sponsored by Isle of Man Sport and supported by Scottish Widows.
The former athletes, who competed for the United Kingdom during their careers, will be explaining what inspires sporting success and how that inspiration can be applied in day-to-day life and business situations.
In the run-up to the London 2012 Olympic Games Roger Black is serving as an ambassador for Scottish Widows, supporting the company's role as official pensions and investment provider of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Roger - who won a silver medal in the 400 metres and a silver in the 400m relay at the Olympic Games in Atlanta in 1996, plus a bronze medal in the 400m relay in Barcelona in 1992 - entered last year's Scottish Widows' Parish Walk, reaching Santon, and has pledged to enter this year's challenge which takes place on Saturday, June 25.
Steve Backley won Olympic silver medals for the javelin in the 1996 Atlanta games and the 2000 games in Sydney. He also won a bronze at the 1992 games in Barcelona.
The talk at the Gaiety starts at 6pm. It is expected to finish by 7.30pm, is open to the public and will include a question and answer session.
Schools groups are especially welcome.
