by isleofman.com 6th May 2011

NEW film TT3D: Closer to the Edge will be screened throughout the TT fortnight after cinema bosses extended its run.

More than 3,300 people have already seen the film at The Broadway Cinema at the Villa Marina but increased demand has encouraged the cinema to extend screenings through the TT fortnight.

Community, Culture and Leisure Minister David Cretney MHK said: "TT3D: Closer to the Edge captures all the excitement and characters who contributed to the 2010 event and I'm not surprised so many Island residents want to see it on the big screen.

"I hope by clearing our schedules to make way for more screenings of TT3D, we will be able to accommodate everyone."

Screening of The Source Code, the next film in the cinema's schedule, has been reduced to just one week. The action film will start tonight and run until Thursday, May 12.

From Friday, May 13 to Friday, May 27, TT3D: Closer to the Edge will be screened nightly at 7.30pm with matinees at 2.30pm.

During the TT fortnight – Saturday, May 28 to Friday, June 10 – the film will be shown three times a day at 11am, 7.30pm and 10.15pm.

Tickets cost £8 for adults and £6 for under 16s. The film is rated certificate 15.

TT3D: Closer to the Edge was directed by Richard de Aragues and was produced by Steve Christian and Marc Samuelson for CinemaNX.
