by isleofman.com 6th May 2011

THE new bowling alley in Ramsey will be officially opened tomorrow (Saturday).

Sure Strike Bowling and Leisure Centre, on Queen's Promenade, includes a 10-lane bowling alley with its own American-style bar and grill, pro-shop, soft play area and a gym.

The official opening will be marked with a family fun day featuring juggling acts, balloon animals, face painting, a colouring competition and a performance by the Young Magicians of Mann.

Adults will be able to enjoy the food from the new Sure Strike bar and grill restaurant and a display of classic American cars, which will be parked outside all day.

Captain Nigel Malpass, the chairman of Ramsey Commissioners, will cut the ribbon to the doors at 10am. Bowling will start at 11am.

There will be a number of competitions on the day and prizes on offer include bowling balls and mobile phones.

Rose Dahlan, marketing and PR manager at Sure, said: "We love to support the local community and this is a great way for us to be doing it - so we're excited about the imminent launch.

"The venue is looking fantastic and I am absolutely certain it will be well received, not just by people in Ramsey but also from across the Island. I would encourage everyone to come along and have a go."

The centre is expected to attract 100,000 visitors per year which will include parties and regular bowling leagues. For more information on tickets, leagues, packages and offers visit www.surestrike.im.
