Shoprite in Port Erin to get a Subway

by isleofman.com 5th May 2011

IT looks likely that Shoprite in Port Erin will become home to a Subway sandwich outlet.

Shoprite is currently advertising for Subway "sandwich artists" for the Port Erin store on the Job Centre website.

The supermarket is recruiting for three part time permanent staff members who are reliable, flexible, friendly, mature, hard working and customer service focussed.

Shoprite already has one Subway franchise in the Chester Street store in Douglas.

There are 34,528 Subway stores in 98 countries worldwide. The first store in the United Kingdom to be opened was in Brighton in 1996 and in July 2007 the chain opened it’s 1,000 store in the UK.

In 2008 the Subway chain was voted the number one sandwich provider in the British Sandwich Association's sandwich industry report.

Application forms for the positions in Port Erin can be collected from any Shoprite store or the Job Centre in Douglas.

isleofman.com has contacted Shoprite for comment on this matter. Further information is expected in the near future.
