THE Ellan Vannin residential home in Douglas has received a cheque for £2,406 thanks to the fundraising efforts of Alliance and Leicester International.

A total of £1,203 was raised at a fashion show and the money was then matched by the Santander Foundation to make the final total.

Alliance and Leicester International's community affairs manager George Campbell presented the cheque to Janice Kneale from the home.
