Lauren's advice to young motorists

A 17-year-old has become the youngest person on the Island to pass the Advanced Driving Test.

Lauren Roberts passed the test, run by 'Isle of Man Advanced Motorists', following a period of training with other members of the group.

The programme helps drivers learn skills above and beyond those required for the basic test, including greater awareness of risks, processing surrounding environmental information and recognising hazards.

Lauren says she only has limited driving experience, but wanted to be a better, safer motorist and would encourage any young driver to take the test:
