April weather hits the mark

by isleofman.com 3rd May 2011

There were very few April showers in the Isle of Man this year.

The weather summary for last month shows the dominant high pressure made it the second warmest and sunniest on record, just behind April 2007.

The average temperature was 13.7 celsius which is two-and-a-half degrees above the long term average.

There were more than 220 hours of sunshine, only half the usual amount of rain and no hail or thunder.
