Customs officers say motorsport teams will face more scrutiny at the United Kingdom's borders after drugs and a gun were found aboard a racing team lorry.
The vehicle belonged to Paul Bird Racing, which will be at this year's TT with rider Michael Dunlop, and was stopped at Dover on its way back from Italy last month.
On board, officers found eight kilogrammes of cocaine, 71 kilogrammes of amphetamine tablets and 100 kilogrammes of cannabis, as well as a handgun and ammunition, which had been left lying on a table.
A spokesman for the UK Border Agency says motorsport vehicles will be checked more closely from now on.
Four technicians from Paul Bird Motorsport were arrested on suspicion of firearms offences and importing controlled drugs, and were later released on bail.
