MHK welcomes progress on sewage front

Ramsey MHK Allan Bell says revised plans to deal with the town's sewage will be good news for the beach.

The Isle of Man Water and Sewerage Authority was given permission by Tynwald last month to spend ?40 million on its new regional strategy.

Part of that will see a new treatment works just outside Ramsey, designed to end the current practice of pumping sewage into the sea.

Mr Bell says cleaner beaches and water will be very welcome:
