A Douglas householder is praising the quick actions of the police after he was awoken in his home by a burglar.
Frank Scheungel of Douglas heard noises at 4am on Sunday, and when he investigated was confronted by a man who was rifling through his possessions.
Mr Scheungel called the police, who arrived within minutes and apprehended a man nearby.
