Is this the last May Day bank holiday?

The Isle of Man is enjoying another bank holiday today (Monday), but it could be the last ever to celebrate May Day.

Plans are afoot in the United Kingdom to replace the holiday with a national day, and earlier this year North Douglas MHK Bill Henderson suggested the Island could do likewise.

Chief Minister Tony Brown says the Island could introduce a special Manx bank holiday to replace May Day, and he tod the House of Keys it was something the Council of Ministers would consider:
