Blues Festival is underway

by isleofman.com 30th April 2011

THE 2011 Big Wheel Blues Festival is underway at the Villa Marina in Douglas.

It is the first time the event has been held in the capital - normally it is based in Laxey.

As the regular venue for the festival - the Pavilion in Laxey Glen Gardens - is unavailable, the decision was made to bring it to the Villa Marina.

There is a full programme of free music by local musicians this afternoon and tomorrow afternoon, with ticketed concerts both evenings featuring some of the best acts on the British blues scene and beyond.
