by isleofman.com 28th April 2011

Corinthians have wrapped up the MBL Women's League title with a game still to play.

They took the honours with a convincing 12-1 victory over Old Boys at Ballafletcher last night (Wednesday).

Dominque Moran led the way with four goals, Jade Burden and Megan Loughran got two each, and there were further strikes from  from Anna Dillon, Sarah Kerford, Rose Ozga and Leanne Prescott.

Gymns gained revenge for their semi-final defeat to Ramsey with a 5-2 win over the northerners.

In the Canada Life Premier League, newly crowned Champions St. George's failed to win for only the second time in the current campaign.

They were held 1-1 by Peel, dropping points for the first time since a draw against Castletown back in August.

In Division Two, champions St John's continued their winning run with their 22nd consecutive victory. They won 5-1 at Colby with Nick Hurt scoring a hat-trick.
