Problems faced by two Anglican congregations in the north of the Isle of Man are to be discussed at public meetings.
In the week Bishop Robert said the Church in the Island had become complacent, in the face of a 40 per cent fall in attendances in the past 20 years, it's been revealed he is to chair discussions in Jurby and Lezayre.
A media release says the two congregations have been finding it increasingly hard to meet the costs of maintaining their churches, and keeping them reasonably warm in the winter months.
It says the situation is placing a growing burden of responsibility on churchgoers in the areas.
The meetings will be in Jurby Parish Hall on Monday, May 9 and at Kirk Christ, Lezayre on Wednesday, May 25.
The congregations are being told the facts will be outlined to them, and they will have a chance to give their views, before any decisions are taken.
