by isleofman.com 27th April 2011

The Isle of Man is in a period of stagnation, and the government lacks vision and direction, according to outgoing Michael MHK David Cannan.

Mr Cannan is repeating his view that the present government is the worst he has seen in nearly 29 years as a member of the House of Keys.

He says the Island's current financial plight could be eased by taking a serious look at the public sector (play audio file):

Mr Cannan has confirmed he will not be seeking to regain his seat in the House of Keys general election on September 29.
