Power lines down after RTA

Power lines were brought down in an incident on the main Peel road yesterday (Easter Monday).

It happened at around 3pm in the area of the Hawthorn pub after a car hit a lamppost.

The road was closed for almost five hours from Crosby crossroads to Ballacraine while the area was cleared and repairs carried out.

It's understood there were no serious injuries sustained in the incident.
