Police investigate death of Manx stuntman

A Manx performer is reported to have died after a human cannonball stunt went wrong in Kent.

The man hasn't yet been formally named but the United Kingdom media is reporting the 23-year-old from the Island is known as Matt the Manx Crank.

He died during a performance at the Scott May's Daredevil Stunt Shows at the County Showground in Detling.

According to the media reports, he was fired into the air from a huge cannon but was seriously injured after a safety net collapsed. Paramedics took him to hospital where he later died.
