ANOTHER fantastic weekend of athletics over the Easter holiday ended in Douglas this morning (Sunday) when the final event of the annual festival was staged on Douglas promenade.

The festival has its official ending this evening with a social event and the prize presentation at The Outback - official sponsors of this year’s 49th Easter Athletics Festival.

The overall individual winner of the festival was Andy Greenleaf (Winchester AC) who won Friday’s opening 10km event in Port Erin, finished third in yesterday’s Peel Hill Race and second in today’s 5km event on Douglas promenade.

Runner up was Chris Busalleh (Leeds DOSS) who finished second to Greenleaf twice but won today’s 5km race. Third individual was Liam White of Hercules Wimbledon AC.

The top female competitor was Emma Raven of Leeds DOSS who had a clean sweep of wins in all three events of the weekend. Runner up was Katie Good (Manchester Uni), and third Claire Day of Cambridge Greyhounds.
