A REVISED bus timetable will come into effect on Sunday, May 1.
The changes have been made in response to customer feedback, the Department of Community, Culture and Leisure has said.
Implementation of the revised timetable is being advertised to bus travellers with notices, while notices containing details of individual service changes are being targeted at travellers on those routes.
Community, Culture and Leisure Minister David Cretney MHK said: "‘These further changes, including the revised format of the timetable, have been made, as I promised at the time, in direct response to the feedback we have received since the implementation of the new timetable last year.
"We will continue to respond with further changes on an ongoing basis to ensure that bus services continue to meet the needs of both residents of and visitors to the Island."
Service use and customer feedback was monitored for three months following implementation of the new bus timetable which was introduced on September 13 last year.
The revised timetable, including its new A5 pocketbook format, are the result of the customer feedback, following approval of the proposed service changes by the Road Transport Licensing Committee.
Mr Cretney added: "It is our intention to continually monitor customer feedback and service use and make future adjustments to the timetable as resources permit."
The timetables are now available from bus depots in Ramsey and Port Erin and at the Welcome Centre in the Sea Terminal, Douglas, as well as online at www.iombusandrail.info
*On Friday, April 29, the Royal Wedding bank holiday, a Sunday bus service will be provided with the 'Night Owl' service operating as normal.
