Tonight's the night for Manx hen harriers

by isleofman.com 19th April 2011

THE Island's hen harriers will feature on The One Show on BBC One tonight.

The birds were supposed to be featured on April 4 – but the feature was pulled from the programme at the last minute.

A spokesperson for the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture said: "We are now assured that Manx hen harriers will appear on The One Show this evening from 7pm."

Mike Dilger, the show's wildlife reporter, and a small film crew visited the Island in January to film a piece on the animals and conduct an interview with Chris Sharpe from Manx Birdlife.
