Issues to address on same-sex adoptions

A local gay rights organisation says there needs to be support for same-sex couples wishing to adopt.

Manx adoption laws were changed in line with the Civil Partnership Act, meaning couples no longer have to be married to care for children.

Chairman of the Isle of Man Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender committee Lee Clarke says the gay community has welcomed the news, but there are still issues to confront:
