Double celebration for 'Kelly twins'

by isleofman.com 18th April 2011

Twins who are believed to be the Isle of Man's oldest have celebrated their 90th birthdays.

Helen Cannell and Marjorie Ellis were known as the 'Kelly twins' when they were growing up in Orrisdale.

They come from a long-standing Manx family, whose ancestry has been traced back to the 17th century.

Helen says she and Marjorie have always been very close (play audio file):

The 'Kelly twins' were 90 on Thursday.
