Police name 17 year old girl found dead in Ramsey

A 17 YEAR old girl who died in Ramsey on Friday has been named as Tanya Louise Hughes.

Tanya, who lived on Gladstone Avenue in Ramsey, was found unconscious at an address in Ormley Avenue at around 9.30pm on Friday.

She was taken to Noble's Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.

A 35 year old man, who was present at the address, was arrested and remains on police bail.

Police have said they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.

Tanya's family do not wish to comment further at this time.
