Port St Mary Post Office on the move

by isleofman.com 18th April 2011

THE post office in Port St Mary will move location following a change in sub-postmaster.

Last week it was revealed that local businessman Jeff Calvert would take over the position from June 23.

A spokseperson from the Isle of Man Post Office said this is due to the "recent resignation of the current sub-postmaster".

The office will move from the Spar shop to The Examiner Shop on Bay View Road – which Mr Calvert owns.

Marty Quine, general manager of the retail network for the Isle of Man Post Office, said: "We would like to wish Mr Calvert every success in his new role as sub postmaster. We are happy the post office is moving to a long-established business and believe this will provide continuity of our services for our customers in the village."
