Extended library openings

Late evening openings have been officially launched at the Henry Bloom Noble Library in Victoria Street, Douglas.

For a trial period of six months, the facility will be open until 7.30pm every Thursday, with a slightly earlier Saturday closing time of 4pm.

Launching the new service, deputy mayor and chairman of the Leisure Services Committee Stephen Pitts said it would give reading fans a chance to replenish supplies outside normal working hours:
