Rowan's inspirational story

The Island’s Disability Sportsperson of the Year says she puts her success down to sheer willpower and stubbornness.

Rowan Caley took the honour at the Isle of Man Bank Sports Awards at the Villa Marina on Thursday night.

The dressage equestrian suffered serious spinal injuries in a car crash eleven years ago, but refused to believe doctors who told her she would never walk again.

And, after a battle to get back in the saddle, she has had an outstanding year:
