THE Laxey Regeneration Committee has identified ten ways to improve the village.
Hundreds of people visited the regeneration exhibition which was held at the Laxey Working Men's Institute last month.
The top 10 priorities identified are as follows:
1. Creating a village square
2. Increasing the views across the valley by reducing the number of trees
3. Refurbishing the glen gardens
4. Increasing parking
5. Improving or replacing public toilets
6. Improving footpath links from the beach to the Laxey Wheel
7. Providing a local bus service
8. Improving general tidiness
9. Providing better information for visitors
10. Enhancing the existing character of the village
Committee chairman, Garf MHK Steve Rodan said: "In the very near future the regeneration committee will look closely at all these top ten suggestions; and we thank the Laxey public for their keen interest."
