THE centenary of the TT Mountain Course looks like giving the Isle of Man another bumper week of visitors, according to figures released this afternoon.
The Steam Packet Company says forward bookings for this year’s TT are up 6% for bikes and 11% for passengers, compared to last year which also saw an increase on 2009.
Around 10,300 bikes came to the Isle of Man for last year’s TT
Steam Packet chief executive Mark Woodward said, “With six weeks to go these figures are likely to change and we won’t be in a position to confirm the actual number of visitors until after the event.
“However, it is encouraging to see that following figures we issued in March, forward bookings still show a health increase on this time last year.”
