The Health and Social Care departments of the Manx government received a total of 117 complaints in the last five years, the highest number recorded during the period.
In a Tynwald question for written reply, Onchan MHK Peter Karran asked how many complaints were made against each of the departments under the new government structure.
He also wanted to know how many were disability related and how many were upheld.
It may be no surprise that the departments dealing with health and social care had the most complaints, but overall the numbers appear to be relatively low.
The next highest was the Department of Education and Children with 42 over the five-year period, followed by the Treasury on 27, Home Affairs with 23, Infrastructure and Economic Development with five each, and Environment Food and Agriculture with two.
According to the figures, there were no complaints at all on the areas of Community Culture and Leisure in the five-year period.
No overall figures are available on whether any of the complaints were disability related, although DEC records show one of theirs was.
The DEC is also the only department to confirm that a complaint against it was upheld.
There is no information on whether any of the complaints resulted in disciplinary action or dismissal of staff.
The reply points out that the figures relating to the health and social care departments, formerly the DHSS, were amalgamated for ease of collation.
