A teenage mother should find out today (Wednesday) if she is to be evicted from a local authority house in Pulrose.
Douglas Borough Council's Housing Committee is due to meet to discuss whether 19-year-old Stevie-Lea Evans must move out of the property, in Alder Grove.
Last week, committee chairman Colin Cain said Ms Evans had not proved she was entitled to stay in the house under the Borough Council's succession policy.
However, further evidence came to light, and the committee is taking another look at the case.
Stevie-Lea recently gave birth to a premature baby girl, who is due to leave the special care baby unit at Noble's Hospital in the next few weeks.
She has received backing from South Douglas MHK David Cretney and members of the public, who have signed petitions.
In an interview with Manx Radio last week she gave this tearful plea to be allowed to remain in the house (play audio file):
Stevie-Lea found her father dead in the property in August last year.
