Noel Hayes, chairman of Manx2.com, said: "We had many enquiries about a direct flight from Cardiff to the Isle of Man, so have added this route for the TT festival.

"With this year marking 100 years of the Mountain Course, we’re giving more fans the opportunity to come and experience this great event.

"With our other Welsh routes proving very popular, we may even look at adding Cardiff – Isle of Man to our regular timetable."

Spencer Birns, head of commercial operations and air services development at Cardiff Airport, said: "We're delighted Manx2 has decided to operate TT specials from Cardiff Airport.

"The world famous Isle of Man TT service will no doubt prove popular with bikers, and we're also hoping to welcome some visitors to Cardiff from the Isle of Man during the period.

"Alongside Manx2.com's Cardiff to Anglesey route this further helps us expand our connectivity throughout the British Isles."

Fares start at £59.95 including taxes and charges.
