Young pilots receive their log books

Two 17-year-olds from the Isle of Man are on their way to becoming aviators this summer.

James Whitelegg from Douglas and Jeffrey Williams from Peel have been awarded flying scholarships by the Jurby-based Association of Manx Pilots.

Minister for Education and Children Eddie Teare presented the pair with their pilot log books in a ceremony at the airfield on Saturday.

It's a new venture, designed to offer ambitious youngters a unique personal challenge.
